Understanding Notifications

OnSeason keeps you informed with in-app notifications so you never miss an important update. Whether it's a new booking, a guest message, or a billing alert, you'll know about it right away. The Notification Bell Look for the bell icon in the top-right corner of your dashboard header. Here's how it works: - A badge shows your unread notification count (displays "9+" when you have more than nine) - Click the bell to open a dropdown with your most recent notifications - Each notification shows an icon, title, message, and time (e.g., "2 hours ago") - Unread notifications have a small blue dot so you can spot them quickly - Click any notification to mark it as read and jump to the relevant page — for example, clicking a booking notification takes you to that booking's details - Use the "Mark all as read" button at the top to clear all unread indicators at once What Triggers Notifications You'll receive notifications for all the key events in your business: - Bookings — New booking created, booking cancelled, booking modified - Guest Messages — New message that needs a response - Team Activity — Invitation sent, member joined - Payments & Billing — Payout completed, payment failed, trial ending, subscription cancelled - Properties — Property imported, sync issue - Other — Export ready, referral reward Notifications update automatically in the background. You'll see new notifications appear without refreshing the page. Email Notifications In addition to in-app notifications, OnSeason sends email notifications for critical events that need your attention even when you're not logged in: - Billing warnings — Alerts when your trial is ending or when there's an issue with your subscription payment - Payout confirmations — Confirmation emails when payouts are processed to your bank account Make sure your email address is up to date in your account settings so you don't miss important billing notifications.

Using Command Search

Command search is the fastest way to navigate your dashboard. Press a keyboard shortcut and start typing to jump to any page instantly — no clicking through menus required. How to Open Command Search You have two options: press ⌘J on Mac or Ctrl+J on Windows/Linux, or click the search icon in the top header bar of your dashboard. A search dialog appears in the center of your screen. Start typing to find what you need. The shortcut is ⌘J (or Ctrl+J), not ⌘K. This avoids conflicts with common browser shortcuts. What You Can Search - Navigation — Type the name of any dashboard section to jump there instantly: "bookings", "properties", "finance", "growth", "settings", "academy". - Settings — Jump directly to specific settings pages by typing their name or related keywords: "integrations" (also matches "PMS", "Calry", "Stripe", or "Staycy"), "team", "billing", "workspace", "advanced". - Academy Articles — Search across all Academy articles by typing any topic. Results show the article title and category, so you can find help without leaving what you're doing. The search is forgiving — minor typos still find the right results. Navigating Results Results appear grouped by type: Navigation, Settings, Academy - Use the arrow keys (↑ ↓) to move between results - Press Enter to go to the selected result - Press Escape to close the search dialog Some features may show a 🔒 icon if they aren't set up yet. This tells you what you can unlock — for example, "Unlock with PMS connection" means connecting your PMS will enable that feature. Tips for Faster Navigation - Be specific — Type "billing" instead of "settings" to go directly to billing - Use keywords — Type "Stripe" to find integration settings without remembering the exact page name - Search for help — Type your question topic (like "notifications" or "custom domain") to find relevant Academy articles - Command search remembers nothing between sessions — it's a quick navigation tool, not a history tracker. Open it, type, go. See the interactive walkthrough.
