Understanding Notifications

Last updated on Jul 22, 2026

OnSeason keeps you informed with in-app notifications so you never miss an important update. Whether it's a new booking, a guest message, or a billing alert, you'll know about it right away.

The Notification Bell

Look for the bell icon in the top-right corner of your dashboard header. Here's how it works:

  • A badge shows your unread notification count (displays "9+" when you have more than nine)

  • Click the bell to open a dropdown with your most recent notifications

  • Each notification shows an icon, title, message, and time (e.g., "2 hours ago")

  • Unread notifications have a small blue dot so you can spot them quickly

  • Click any notification to mark it as read and jump to the relevant page — for example, clicking a booking notification takes you to that booking's details

  • Use the "Mark all as read" button at the top to clear all unread indicators at once

What Triggers Notifications

You'll receive notifications for all the key events in your business:

  • Bookings — New booking created, booking cancelled, booking modified

  • Guest Messages — New message that needs a response

  • Team Activity — Invitation sent, member joined

  • Payments & Billing — Payout completed, payment failed, trial ending, subscription cancelled

  • Properties — Property imported, sync issue

  • Other — Export ready, referral reward

Notifications update automatically in the background. You'll see new notifications appear without refreshing the page.

Email Notifications

In addition to in-app notifications, OnSeason sends email notifications for critical events that need your attention even when you're not logged in:

  • Billing warnings — Alerts when your trial is ending or when there's an issue with your subscription payment

  • Payout confirmations — Confirmation emails when payouts are processed to your bank account

Make sure your email address is up to date in your account settings so you don't miss important billing notifications.
